First Aid at Work (3 day course)
First Aid Training Courses
The new First Aid at Work is run as a 3-day course.
This Course is designed for Employees intending to act as First Aiders at Work and ends with an Assessment.
Target Audience
Candidates are required to be physically fit, able to cope with an intense course of study and to remain calm in an emergency.
Learning Objectives / Course Outline
- Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Treating an unconscious casualty (including seizure)
- Choking
- Wounds and bleeding
- Shock
- Minor injuries
- Avoiding cross infection
- Recording incidents
- Fractures, Sprains and Strains, Disclocations
- Spinal injuries
- Chest injuries
- Severe burns and scalds
- Eye injuries
- Poisoning
- Recognition and immediate treatment of Major medical conditions including
- Anaphylaxis, Heart Attack, Stroke, Epilepsy, Asthma, Diabetes
Course Duration
3 days
Certification
Successful candidates will receive the FIRST AID AT WORK certificate valid for 3 years.
