Health and Safety Training
The course is aimed at personnel who in their normal duties may come into contact with materials that may contain asbestos, as required by the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
It is also appropriate for supervisory / management personnel as an introduction to the subject.
Course Aims
- To provide an understanding of the health effects associated with asbestos materials
- To provide the attendees with an appreciation of the new legislation
- To enhance the awareness of employees in relation to asbestos containing materials
Learning Objectives / Course Outline
On completion of the training successful candidates should be able to:
- Identify typical products & materials that contain asbestos.
- Understand the health hazards associated with asbestos.
- Know the responsibilities imposed by the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012

- Health hazards associated with asbestos.
- Products & Materials.
- Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012
- Asbestos – management options.
- Course assessment (multiple choice)

Certification
