Level 2 Award in Health
& Safety in the Workplace
The Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace qualification provides you with fundamental health and safety knowledge. The course includes with it the Health and Safety First Principles course book.
The programme covers a defined syllabus which can be tailored to meet the needs of clients and is assessed by a short objective test consisting of 30 multi-choice questions.
Target Audience
Employee’s with little or no previous knowledge of current health & safety legislation requiring a nationally recognised certificate.
Course Aims
To provide attendees with information on health and safety issues which they encounter during their working day.

- To promote a positive health & safety culture;
- To increase awareness of health & safety issues;
- To carryout assigned tasks in both a safe and efficient manner;
- To understand the legal responsibilities of both the employer and employee as defined by the Health & Safety at Work Act.

45 Minutes – 20 Multiple Choice Examination
12 correct = Pass
Certification
Candidates may choose to proceed to the next qualification, which is the level 3 Award in Supervising Health and Safety.
