Level 3 Award in Supervising
Health & Safety in the Workplace
This three day intermediate level course is designed
for anyone working at a supervisory level having
responsibility for health and safety in the workplace.
Supervisors/managers have both a legal and moral responsibility to look after health and safety of employees. This level 3 health and safety training qualification will enable managers and supervisors to improve the health and safety culture of their organisation, whatever its size or activity.
Target Audience
Owners and managers in small to medium sized organizations, may also find that the intermediate course provides them with sufficient knowledge to carry out their responsibilities effectively. Attendees must have completed the Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the workplace within the last three years.
Course Aims
Successful completion of the course and examination will enable candidates to:
- Carry out an active part in monitoring health and safety standards
- Be involved in training activities, especially on the job training
- Be equipped to properly supervise personnel on health and safety issues
- Be able to carry out safety audits
- Encourage excellent standards of health and safety
- Be able to assist in hazard analysis
- Help in the formulation and writing of policies, instructions etc

- Health and safety organisation and management

A 60 multiple choice question paper at the end of the course
Certification
Certificate will be issued by the awarding body on successful completion of the course.
